Marcus Reed

Furniture & Joinery

Marcus spent fifteen years as a custom furniture maker in a small cabinet shop, building tables, chairs, casework and bed frames for clients who wanted pieces that would outlast them. Most of his days were spent at the bench cutting mortises, fitting drawers and chasing the kind of clean, square joint that doesn't announce itself but holds for decades.

He moved to writing full-time so he could teach the parts that matter most: how a joint actually carries load, why proportion makes a plain pine table look right, and where a build goes wrong before you've even picked up a saw. His guides lean on real cut lists and honest notes about the steps people rush. If a project asks for patience, he says so.
