What This Site Is
Plank & Build is a woodworking resource for people who actually want to build things. Every project guide includes a full cut list with real lumber dimensions, a material cost breakdown using current Home Depot prices, the tools you'll actually need (not a wish list), and honest notes on where beginners make mistakes.
Why We Built It
Most woodworking guides online either skip the details that matter — exact dimensions, real costs, joinery choices — or bury them in a video you have to scrub through. We write the guides we wished existed: the kind where you can read them once, go to the lumber yard, and actually build the thing.
What We Cover
Furniture builds (tables, chairs, shelves, bed frames), outdoor projects (benches, Adirondack chairs, picnic tables, sheds), storage and workshop builds (workbenches, floating shelves, crates), and beginner guides for people picking up their first saw.
The Plans Library
