Daniel Hart
Daniel taught himself woodworking the slow way — with a cheap circular saw, a stack of warped lumber and a lot of crooked first attempts. He now teaches weekend beginner classes at a community workshop, walking total newcomers through their first cuts, their first joints and their first finished project.
Because he learned without a mentor, he remembers every first-timer mistake: the glue-ups that slid apart, the boards bought in the wrong thickness, the tool he thought he needed and never used. His guides are written for the person standing in the hardware aisle with no idea where to start — short tool lists, forgiving projects, and plain explanations of the things nobody tells you up front.
